Cognitive computing in big data

Ideally, the computer has been built over a neural network framework and has been adapted to communicate with the external memory. The computer stores memories which can later be recovered and gain the understanding of new information and perform pre-programmed tasks.

Since DeepMind simulates the human brain, data scientists can easily depend on the information and commands that are processed. The supercomputer ideally makes a comparison of the data queries of the past and provides a response without a continuous oversight.

Zeroth cognitive platform

Qualcomm’s computing platform has been created to rely on the cognitive functions of the human brain. The supercomputer recognizes the auditory and visual signals and understands the entire situation. This is through a series of actions like object, handwriting recognition, and people identification. Hence this intelligent computer would automatically adjust its settings when exposed to an environment that has a lot of background sensitivity. For example, adapting and adjusting its audio settings in an area with a lot of noise and thereby delivering good audio output or adjusting its video settings while taking pictures in a sunny or dark environment. With an intuitive capacity to grasp the scenes and context, Zeroth platform when paired with the correct devices and image technology could gauge the emotions of people through their facial expressions and voice communications.

Finally, artificial intelligence or intelligent devices from cognitive platforms reduces the quantity of transmissions that go back and forth to the cloud. This also ensures that these super performing devices can save on power and progress with their performance, delivery, and privacy.

Undoubtedly the improvements in cognitive computing and application of  AI algorithms and machine learning into big data tools and platforms are the best to happen in the big data world. This will not only facilitate the less experienced workforce to handle the complex part of data crunching and analytics but also greatly improve the delivery and quality of results.
